چکیده
The neurobiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is evidenced by a strong demonstration malfunctions in the serotonergic and dopaminergic system. Recently, glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) gene polymorphisms have been emphasized psychiatric diseases treatment strategies that tried to be developed this regard. In literature, there are several studies investigating relationship between GDNF excluding OCD. Therefore, study aimed compare symptomatology early late-onset OCD patients. For purpose, patients diagnosed with according DSM-V diagnostic criteria structured clinical interviews were grouped as based on age initiation. DNA was isolated from blood samples collected 140 subjects (70 70 healthy controls) EDTA tubes, rs2910702, rs3096140, rs3812047 examined Real-Time PCR. No significant correlation detected (P>0.05). Failure detect correlations might due variable expression pattern different tissues pathologies. future improved including larger group examining wider range for GDNF.
